1. airBalticcard mobile card linkup setting with a mobile network.
Carefully remove the
airBalticcard from the plastic holder and insert it into your unlocked mobile phone in accordance with your phone’s user guide.
Turn on your phone
If a code request appears on the screen, enter
PIN1 code (you can find it on the rear of the plastic SIM card holder).
Keep the PIN and PUK codes in a memory! You will need them for further use with
airBalticcard.
The
airBalticcard logo will appear on the screen

2. Recharge credit
Take the recharge card.
Carefully scratch off the protective layer from the card.
Enter the
airBalticcard function in your phone’s menu.
Select the
Add Credit function from the menu.
A message «
Please enter PIN» will appear on the display of your phone.
Enter the 16-digit PIN and press
OK.
A message showing your balance recharge information will appear on the display of your phone.
Or dial *146*098PIN# (where PIN is the 16-digit code taken from the recharge card). Press the
“call” button.

3. Outgoing calls
Dial the number of your call recipient. When dialling the number, ensure that you have added
«+» or
«00» prior to the country code and local number. For example, if the number of your call recipient is located in France, you should dial +33 (country code) followed by the local number of the recipient.
Press the
«Call» button.
A message «Wait for call» will appear on the display of your phone.
Within a few seconds you will receive an incoming phone call on your phone.
Press the
«Answer» button.
Connect the call and start your conversation. Additionally, you will hear a message about the current balance/credit of your account and your call will be in progress!
Moreover, you can call directly from the phone book of your phone: just ensure you have saved the phone numbers of your contacts, including the proper country code (for instance +33 or 0033 for France).
If your phone does not support this service in automatic mode, the recipient's number should be dialled as follows:
*146*00ccNUMBER#, then the
“call” button. (
сс = country code)
In order to forward phone call in the UAE (United Arab Emirates) and Saudi Arabia it is necessary to send a classical SMS to number 9146 in the format 00ССхххххххх or +ССхххххххх (СС = country code, XXX = phone number).
Outgoing calls can be made when the current balance is more than € 1.
4. Current balance
You can place and receive calls unless there is a minimum balance required to be kept on your SIM card. You can check the balance at any time as follows: Enter the
airBalticcard function on your phone's menu
Enter the
Check balance subdirectory.
A message with your balance information will appear on the display of your phone.
Additionally you can check your balance by dialling a certain sequence on your phone:

*146*099#. Press the
«Call» button.
A message with your balance information will appear on the display of your phone.
Balance checking can be carried out in the “My account” section as well.
5. Sending and receiving SMS
Just send and receive SMS messages in accordance with your phone's user manual. No additional actions are required. Or you can just choose the SEND SMS function from the menu of your mobile phone.
6. Mobile internet
To activate the GPRS Internet service you have to configure the GPRS settings.
AUTOMATIC SETTINGS
If your phone does not support GPRS automatic settings, use manual settings (in accordance with your phone’s user manual).
MANUAL SETTINGS If your phone does not support GPRS automatic settings, insert manual settings (in accordance with your phone’s user manual) as follows:
APN (access point): send.ee
Username: number of your airBalticcard (3725XXXXXXX)
Password: None
What to do if the Internet connectivity is failing.
In order to ensure your SIM card functions properly, you should delete all other operators’ GPRS settings in your phone. Such settings can normally be found in the phone's «Browser», «Services», «Internet», etc. directories.
Some of mobile phone models can be utilized as modems in order to get connectivity to a computer.
To ensure computer connectivity, you must download dedicated program software from the phone manufacturer’s website. On installing this software in your phone, you should register SMTP server gprsmail.send.ee in “Settings”.
7. Technical requirements
The service is accessible from any GSM standard mobile phone, unless it is not configured for use in a certain carrier's network. Some mobile phone models do not support the airBalticcard service in automatic mode. If this is the case, regular calling, SMS sending, balance checking and recharge should be carried out via the
airBalticcard menu, which appears automatically on the display once an
airBalticcard SIM card is inserted.
airBalticcard is currently being presented in two types:
airBalticcard mobile classic – a regular mobile phone is all that is needed for this type of SIM card unless it is not configured for use in a certain carrier's network. In the USA and Canada, as well as in some Latin American countries, you will need a mobile phone that operates in standard “Multi Band GSM’’(850/1900 MHz).
airBalticcard mobile American Dream – a SIM card for free incoming calls and cheap outgoing calls in the USA; this card is suitable for use in the USA and Canada as well as in some Latin American countries for mobile phones operating in standard “Multi Band GSM’’(850/1900 MHz)
